Urodynamia is the general name of the tests investigating functional disorders of organs (bladder, prostate, urinary tract) functioning in urination and urine storage. It is a diagnosis method that enables tomake the definite diagnosis for complaints such as urinary incontinence and being unable to urinate related to various diseases in adults and children and to plan the suitable drug treatment or surgerysubsequently. Today, there is no alternative diagnosis method to urodynamia “ for patients needing it.

Urodynamic procedure is a dynamic test performed painlessly with two pressure-measuring, fine catheters placed through urinary tract into bladder and through anus into rectum without making a cut. During procedure, muscle activity is monitored simultaneously through electrodes adhered to skin. By suitably filling the bladder with serum by means of the catheter, feeling to urinate is created and subsequently urination is accomplished.During this filling and voiding, the behaviors of bladder and surrounding muscles are recorded and examined. Prior to the procedure, urine culture is required to be sterile.
