Trabzon Numune Hospital is one of our hospitals that were constructed during the war years by preparing its projects in the Design Office of the Ministry of Public Works in 1937.Our hospital began to provide service with 250 beds inside of a campus area of approximately 36000 m2in Kahramanmaraş Street, Kavakmeydan District in 1947.
In addition to Trabzon’s historical commercial and cultural supremacy, the establishment of Numune Hospital strengthened its role as regional center in health field. Our historical hospital deserved exceedingly this honor by carrying out its sacred duty successfully for years.
In addition to increasing its service quality by being restructured according to needs emergingfor the last 30 years,our hospital became a contemporary establishment providing the service deserved by today’s people by establishing very significant infrastructural centers and units such as Biochemistry, Microbiology and Pathology Laboratories, Center of Nuclear Medicine and Bone Densitometry, Cancer Screening and Education Center, Blood Transfusion Center, Radiology Unit with enhanced capabilities, Emergency Service, Anesthesia Intensive Care with 7 beds,Surgical Intensive Care with 8 beds, Internal Medicine Intensive Care with 8 beds, Neurology Intensive Care with 8 beds and Hemodialysis Center with 20 beds.
Today, our hospital has 500 bed-capacity inside of approximately 27000 m2-campus area and it has been providing service as Training and Research Hospital since November 2005.
